Well after two months I have finally finished my second flash fiction piece “Midnight Stoll”! In this new twisted tail you’ll follow James as he takes an evening stroll through a local park. Although he this has been his routine for around twenty years, tonight he’ll be in for a huge, life changing surprise. The story will be published on The New Flesh on Friday 11/30/09 please check it out!
Other News
Like I said it has been two months since my last flash fiction release. The great thing about this story is I think I have finally found my voice as a writer! I knew I wanted it to be like "Caught in the Keepers Web" and "The Shed". With this story I have found a happy medium between the two! Hopefully with this release you’ll have and idea of what to expect in the future.
Now what has been going on over those last two months? During the month of September William Pauley III and I were busy working on the artwork for the Toe Tags Anthology. I also managed to write a short story for “The Shed” which was also featured in Toe Tags. Also if you check a few posts below you’ll find a mock children’s story with is another project I have in the works.
If you happen to be a fan of the few pieces that I have happen to release I do want to think you very much. I do, however, need to give you an idea on what you can expect when it comes to me releasing stories in the future. I have many great writer friends that seem to release stories all the time. I on the other hand do not release stuff that fast. This doesn’t mean I’m not working. I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity. When I do release a story I want to make sure it is the best I could have done at that time. Now I do have a lot of writer friend that do release a lot and I’m not saying they don’t put out quality work. Honestly these people are just complete freaks of nature and can release a ton of stuff and all of it is awesome. They may piss me off but I can’t help but respect them … you all know who you are …! Any ways I just wanted to explain that I am working just kind of slow. So please keep stopping by and checking up on what’s going on. I promise to do my best to keep you all posted!

Toe Tags is Finally Available!!!
The time has finally come! You can now purchase Toe Tags by clicking the link above! Bryan Barnett, William Pauley III and I put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this Anthology. Blood from my foot hiking through the woods in flip-flops doing the artwork. Tears from William and I at 4’oclock in the morning laughing our heads off (slap happy) after a long day of artwork madness. Sweat from William because … well he sweats a lot … seriously he never gets cold. Anyways ….

New Children's Story! (warning not for kids)
The Night the Monsters Came Out To Play
A Children’s Story

Clock bells chime to the witching hour’s arrival,
the hour that eight-year-old Paul met with a smile.
He climbed out of bed and down to the floor.
Quickly he ran to the closet door.
Once inside he looked around,
But the one he wanted could not be found
With his hands he covered each eye,
Because he knew the monster was shy.
“Please Mr. Monster” he began to say,
“wont you please come out to play?”
Ever so gently a claw touched his shoulder,
even though it could have crushed a boulder.
The monster came without a fight.
A good start to a crazy night.
Next came the monster that lived under the bed.
He had large red eyes and a very big head.
Together they all crept down the hall,
both monsters followed right behind Paul.
First they stopped by the toilet bowl,
to get the monster who lived in the tiny hole.
The monster came out in such a rush,
once Paul gave the toilet a flush.
Second stop was at the laundry room dryer,
to get their friend who breathes balls of fire.
Now even though his breath was flame,
Paul didn’t worry, the monster was tame.
One by one Paul gathered them all.
Some were big and some were small.
Back down the hall Paul lead,
all the monsters back to his bed
Together they danced in the pale moon light.
you should have seen it. It was quite a sight.
They had a contest for the fiercest growl,
and also for whose breath is most fowl.
They played games to see who’s the strongest,
and to see who could hold their breath the longest.
How late they played it didn’t matter,
as long as it was filled with laughter.
They didn’t care weather you had claws or fins,
because tonight they where the best of friends.
Suddenly all their happiness was broken,
when outside words were spoken.
The angry words came loud and clear,
Of a father who drank too much beer.
Paul and the monsters ran to hide,
because the fiercest of beasts had just arrived.

Hey everybody! Sorry I don’t get on here and update as much as I should. Unfortunately constantly fearing from my life and trying not to stay in the same place for very long makes that hard (check out the left sidebar for more details). Any way the anthology looks like it will be released in October. If you go to breaksaidsilence.blogspot.com you can see 2 other teasers from some of the other stories. Also along with the teaser the artwork for that story has been posted as well. I have to admit I am pretty proud of the artwork thus far. The one that you see above is one of the few I did on my own. Most of the artwork was done by me and William Pauley III. You can tell the ones we did together because they’re just insane. Agoraphobia by Brian Barnett is one of the teasers posted on William’s blog (breaksaidsilence.blogspot.com) and the artwork for that story was done by us both. Hopefully it will give you an idea of what to expect. For the rest of the stories and artwork you’ll have to buy the book but I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Welcome to the Web
Today it finally happened! Flashes in the Dark posted my first ever flash fiction horror story! I said that if ever I was published then I would start a blog. Now if you enjoyed that first story "Caught in the Keeper’s Web" then hopefully, once other stories get published, you be able to follow my work.
Currently I have made peace with the writer William Pauley III, who has tried to kill me multiple times, and am assisting him with the artwork for an upcoming anthology called Toe Tags. Also I will have a story in Toe Tags called The Shed”. I don’t think there is a set release date for the anthology yet but it should be in October sometime. Some of the artwork may get posted online early as a promotion but once I have more updates I’ll post.
Lastly, thank you to all of those who posted comments on my story at Flashes in the Dark. I’m a new writer and your words were very encouraging! Now I have to apologize for cutting this short but I have a date with the wicked little things that live under my bed. They keep stealing my toenail clipping collection and must be stopped!
